LORD SHIVA - KNOWN AS 'NILKANTH' UPON THE SWALLOWING OF POISON WHICH CAME UP IN THE BEGINNING OF CREATIONS
AUM or 'OM'
The word ‘OM’
or ‘AUM’ is denoted from the three main sacred Supreme Beings who have the ultimate
access to creations, to the sustenance, and to all destructive natures of our
universe. An age-old but gratifying understanding of the word—‘AUM’ holds far
more than an eternal acknowledgement of its great richness as its utmost
universal essence to our humanly existence propels a cosmic vibe that is
unmatched. This word ‘AUM’ is the first sound ever to have been resonated into
our cosmic universe since the beginning of our cosmic creations. ‘AUM’ has
echoed, and always resonates entirely as an emerging force with positive
natures from all hearts and all souls who would use it for righteousness and
rightful causes.
‘A.U.M’
signifies the following:
‘A’ –
stands for the almighty Lord Brahma (creator of all creations and
manifestations).
‘U’ –
stands for Lord Vishnu ‘Vishnu Bhagwan’ (the everlasting knower,
the Supreme Being, the omnipotent and omnipresent Lord whose sustaining
capabilities surpass all, and He maintains all that has ever existed from the beginning of
time, extending to infinity).
‘M’
– applies to the almighty Lord Shiva ‘Shiv Bhagwan’ (the everlasting
time, the knower of all knowers, the acknowledger of all acknowledgements, the
purifier of all the impure natures, the destroyer of all evil, the cause of
destruction so that creations may find new dawns in an all new era, and, that
dignity on the pathway to enlightenment is restored).
Lord Shiva
Lord
Shiva (or, Shiv Bhagwan) is the unborn and He is the always existing embodiment
of eternal time, emerging from the forehead of Lord Vishnu. Lord Shiva is born
as the unborn and his superiority supersedes all that has been deviated from
the uncertainties. He controls the fate of all humankind as He blesses the most
unwanted with the treasures of true knowledge while admitting the glory of
selflessness and selfless virtues in the midst of the bosom of fate and
destiny.
LORD SHIVA AND FAMILY
The
108 names of Lord Shiva each stand for significant causes—with blasting effects
into the universe as each has a particular meaning to every single occurrences
that manifests itself across the universe. Similarly, His 3 eyes which form part
of His sacred embodiment portray great meanings to all living and non-living
entities. His wife--Parvati, His sons (Ganesh and Kartikeya); are all major
symbolisms of divine natures who manifest inside the hearts of those who sought
out for purity and sanctity.
LORD SHIVA (SHIV BHAGWAN)
The
Shiva Damru – The small two-headed drum belonging to Lord Shiva
The
Shiva Damru symbolizes the everlasting universe’s expanding and
collapsing abilities. It also signifies the heartbeat in every lifeform – going
up and down, beating with a rhythm that is described as the beat of the Damru
(or, Damaru). The Shiva Damru impacts on the activities that
occur in our galactic universe as it shows stability to creations but havoc to
certain required evil forces that are bound to face termination and
destruction. The Shiva Damru—the Shiva Damaru, represents all
sounds that resonate from the universe. It is a powerful form of energy
generating from Lord Shiva’s Damru which by itself appears as an object
that translates into the main cause of destruction of all living and non-living
lifeforms existing in our universe.
THE SHIVA TANDAV (or, THE TANDAVA NRITTYA)
When
the time of destruction is at its doorstep, Lord Shiva dances the cosmic dance
known as the Tandava Nrittya when and where He uses His Damru, to express
His anger—which in its own way explores the various sinful acts of all
creations that are the resultant reasons for admitting the catastrophic ends of
all lifeforms.
The
Shiva Tattva - The Crescent Moon found over the forehead of Lord Shiva
The Crescent
Moon (The Shiva Tattva) overcasting the frontal lobe of Lord Shiva is by
itself a symbolic feature that caricatures the state of mindlessness and the
state of mindfulness that is required by all living entities surviving in our
universe. Being mindless and being mindful are both two extreme limits of the
mind’s experience that walks all human lives as long as life is keeping this
same human body going strong and steady.
1. Why be mindless when everything we do evolves around
and rotates according to applicable principles resulting from mindful thinking
and from mindful consciousness in every activity being performed?
2.
Why be mindful when all we do in every way possible
leads to an unprecedented suffering that concludes with death and mortality?
The
Shiva Tattva (The Crescent Moon found on the frontal lobe of Lord Shiva)
signifies the state of mindlessness which by itself extends to infinity as per
the immensity of the galactic universe that impacts our daily human existence.
To be mindless or with ‘no mind’ certainly launches a lot of questions from the
minds of humans whereby it raises an inexpressible authority that surpasses all
sufferings ever encountered by mortals. Wisdom and the bliss of knowledge is
born from this same unexpressive authority born from this Crescent Moon.
Despite the fact that this Crescent Moon appears symbolically to denote the
‘mind’, this Shiva Tattva attributes to the immense wisdom acquired from
beyond the mind. Thus, the mind is the medium which propels wise thinking to a
stronghold state whereby this wisdom is by itself derived from somewhere beyond
this ‘mind’.
Lord
Shiva’s Maha Mantra
“OM
NAMAH SHIVAYAH” is one of the most powerful mantras ever to have derived from our universe. It symbolizes the following:
‘OM’ or ‘AUM’ – A
- Brahma, U - Vishnu and M - Mahesh
‘NA’ – Earth
‘MA’ – Water
‘SHI’ – Fire
‘VA’ – Air
‘YA’ – Ether
‘OM’ stands for the sound of the universe. It is the sound of the universe. It is composed of three main alphabets and three resonating sounds beginning with ‘A’, then, ‘U’ and finally, ‘M’. Altogether, it combines to be pronounced as ‘AUM’ or ‘OM’.
‘Namah Shivayah’ are the two other words that follow in this Maha Mantra. These stand for the five major elements comprising of the building up of all lifeforms and creations (living and non-living); which are namely: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.
